After 2 years of owning my S (I bought at 19) the car has sadly been put to rest I was traveling along a straight road and a deer jumped out in front of me, causing me to panic and swerve off the road. I have been a lurker on this forum, but would like to thank everyone for all the useful information they have posted. I will definitely buy another one sometime in the future (Don't think a lot will fill it's space) but i think a Porsche Boxster S is next on the agenda! Anyone have any experience moving to a Boxster MY07+ after having the S2000?

Thanks again!

- Matthew

Gutted for you, I assume nobody was harmed and you'll live to drive another day.

Yeah nobody was hurt, including myself If I hadn't have swerved and just hit the deer, I wonder how things would have ended up

Ouch! Sorry to hear another S going down.
Was the damage just from the verge, or did you hit a tree / rick? Quite some damage on the sill.
At least your safe and unharmed.
Would say if you did not swerve, the front end would have looked a lot messier.

Oh dear!

You do know that if you hit a deer on a public road in Jockland it is your property? You therefore have to make a quick decision on the price of venison v the value of the car.

Good that nobody was hurt.

Thanks, when I clipped the verge the car spun around and went side-on into a dry stone wall.. Pictures from the other side look a lot worse but don't have them available at the minute. If It was on a corner and couldn't see if it was safe to swerve I would have just hit it and dealt with the consequences, but also the fact the car is quite low was unsure if the deer might go through the windscreen. Very annoying, but just happy I never hit anybody else.

Haha can't help but think I might have been better off hitting it.. Potentially less damage, also considering a career change to become a gamekeeper
