I agree doesn't look that bad you should get an independent report

I'm really sorry to see this, I know exactly how you feel having mine written off in March

I think the 9k repair bill seems ridiculously excessive to be honest. I know that the rear wings are spot welded and not too difficult to remove.

If you do decide to buy it back I paid 10% of the market value of mine so aim for that if I were you.

Also if you decide you're buying it back to repair I have a good rear subframe, rear wing with the arch already rolled, door and the suspension arms that I could do a good deal on for you as it would be helping us both out

And you also know an excellent bodyshop to get it all looking right again

S2000's bite on some road surfaces, when I see sad pics like these I definitely don't miss mine
What an odd pair of sentiments
Not really... owner of 2 and a half years in total, it was enough for me to be honest and some of us grow out of the car. I love Honda technology and its by far the best brand for us petrolheads that are either rich, or skinters (like me lol). I'd be distraut to crash mine.
I see in your sig you're after stickier tyres....?? Don't shoot me down in flames, as you know the car can bite on certain roads just like it can for many RWD's. Experience, tyres, luck, bravery all come into the mix if you're "on-it" and you've overcooked your speed for the corner/wet bend/wet straight/etc etc. My worst moment was braking very hard in the wet vtec'ing towards a roundabout about 5 years ago in my W reg. Just got a little too fast and the car went sideways, wearing pretty new S02's too. Saved it but it must have looked spectacular to drift 45 degrees for about 70 yds!
I dont miss mine, although I have lost my petrolheadness these days

Ah the stickier tyres are purely for track enjoyment, not a commentary on the car. TBH, the instances you mention are entirely driver error but anyhoo. You had one, you don't anymore and you don't miss it. No biggie

Best stop clogging the thread!

OP - 9k does seem rather OTT. Might be worth getting it independently checked by someone local to see what they think?

Thanks for all the comments and help

I will have details as I got a copy of the estimate,

Floppy - very very interested and with the body shop as well,

She will be back bigger and stronger

As said we both walked away and to me that's all I care about right now

That's the estimate from the garage it went to,

Hopefully I can sort it for a lot less and be back bigger and better,

Perfect time for a supercharger I think

I'd bet you can source those parts for far less - hell you could buy a fire damaged car for £1500 and use ALL the parts from that!
