A guy at work just picked up a Vectra 1.8 as a beater, on a P plate with 110k miles on the clock and full service history for a cool grand. The engine just sings on the motorway, he intends to use it to visit his bird who lives a fair few miles away and run his TreVoR at the weekends.

Go a different route .... and get a bike. You could do the journey in half the time.

san, got to be a diesel go for fuel economy, germany/asian built quality/reliability

or sell your S and buy a ford ka and never darken our doorsteps again

That's for sure!!!!

If it's for the M25 carpark, I'd be tempted to get an auto - but misused autos can fail at surprisingly low miles.

The lowest price the better, but I'm think a couple of thousand.

And Ian....how do I get from Weybridge to Colchester without going on the M25??
