2005 (55) Moonrock S2000 GT
For sale is my Moonrock 2005 (55) S2000 GT located in Ware, Hertfordshire.
An impending house purchase means that extremely reluctantly I need to sell my car.
I bought the car in November 2014, it was in good condition inside and out and had done approximately 47000 miles. This car has been my only car for the time I've owned it and due to the mileage I do I have ensured that the car has been maintained to a high standard. The essential information on the car is as follows -
Current mileage: 66630 - I've used the car to commute as well as for weekend pleasure driving hence the relatively high mileage done in the time I have owned it. I have bought my replacement car so it is very unlikely that this will rise until the car is sold. This also means no PX enquiries please.
MOT: Although the current MOT does not expire until november, I had the car MOT tested on friday 18/09/15 to give the next owner peace of mind. The car passed with no advisories as expected and now has MOT until 18/09/16.
Tax: Buyer is to tax the car before driving away under the new rules, this model benefits from the lower rate of approximately £285 per year.

Service History: The car has a full service history as well as a large folder with old MOT's to verify the mileage, invoices, receipts and even tax discs. The first 2 owners had the car serviced at Honda main dealers and the person I bought the car from had all servicing done at TGM. During my ownership I have had all mechanical work and servicing on the car done at TGM, with the exception of wheel alignment which I have done at Wheels In Motion.
The car has just had a full service today on saturday 19/09/15 including gearbox fluids changed at TGM. This is the third service the car has had in my ownership.
The car has 2 keys and alarm fobs present.
Detailed information about specific areas of the car is as follows -
Exterior -
The bodywork and paint on the car is in very good condition as you can hopefully see from the pictures. There is no rust on the bodywork. There are some minor stone chips to the front of the car as to be expected.
The car will come with the original hardtop and stand as well as the tonneau cover.
Brand new packaged Bosch wipers will be supplied with the car for the new owner to fit.
The seals have been greased regularly using genuine shin-etsu grease and the remainder of the bottle will be supplied with the car.
The soft top of the car is in good condition. There is one small tear in the common place above the driver's right shoulder. This was there when I bought the car but the previous owner had it professionally repaired and it's not particularly noticeable, most importantly there are no leaks whatsoever.
The car has a stubby AM/FM aerial fitted, but will be supplied with the OEM aerial.
Wheels & Tyres -
In february I had the wheels fully refurbished by Pristine in Milton Keynes. The diamond cut finish has been restored and the painted parts of the wheel are anthracite. There is no kerbing on them whatsoever and the diamond cut still looks great.
The car has matching Continental ContiSportContact 5 Tyres all round in the correct OEM sizes and load ratings, that are almost brand new. These were fitted on 05/09/15 and have done less than 1000 miles since.
Suspension and Brakes -
Shortly after buying the car, I discovered that 2 of the geometry adjustment points and both compliance bushes were seized. TGM replaced the bushes at the 2 seized points with standard parts and the compliance bushes were replaced with Mugen compliance bushes. All of the geometry points were greased and are free. The car last had 4 wheel alignment done at Wheels in Motion on 25/07/15 at 62592 miles.
The car has eibach pro lowering springs fitted, with a 25mm FR/30mm RR ride height reduction. I got them to improve the look of the car and they do not spoil the ride or cause the car to scrape over speed humps. The standard springs will also be supplied with the car.
The car has Brake Depot grooved disks all round which were fitted on 06/06/15 at 58500 miles which are in good condition with plenty of life left in them. The car has EBC blue stuff pads that were fitted on 25/07/15 at 62500 miles, the brake fluid was also changed to ATE super racing brake fluid at the same time.
Engine -
The engine is completely standard. My old rocker cover was starting to flake so today on saturday 19/09/15 I had a brand new genuine cover fitted at TGM. The engine bay is not as immaculate as some of the cars I have seen but is presentable, especially with the new rocker cover and most importantly the engine is mechanically sound and well serviced.
Interior -
The car has all black leather interior. The seats are in very good condition. The driver's bolster only has some minor creasing, the leather is not showing much wear.
The car has high quality genuine black honda access mats fitted from Si@hendy.
The car has an aftermarket gearknob fitted that I prefer to the original gearknob. The original gearknob is in good condition and will be supplied with the car.
In-Car Entertainment -
Shortly after buying the car, I had the speakers upgraded with Focal door speakers and tweeters as well as both doors being wrapped in dynamat. This was done by Audiophile in Bishops Stortford, if you go their website you can see the package that they offer for the S2000 that I had.
In July, I had a brand new Alpine CDE-136BT DAB head unit fitted by Sound Evo in Watford. This is a nice unit that allows you to play songs from your phone via bluetooth or USB cable as well as DAB functionality. The USB port has been routed tidily to the left of the driver's knee without cutting any parts of the interior. The audio controls on the dash are also functional with the head unit. There is also a microphone for hands free calling on top of the dash.
Sound Evo also installed an additional 12V power socket behind the passenger section of the dash that I used to power my dashcam.
Summary -
I wish I could keep the car for longer both to enjoy and get more out of the time and money I have put into it but the house purchase must take priority.
I am confident that the next owner will be very satisfied with the car.
The price of the car is £11,250 but all offers will be considered. Payment by bank transfer or cash.

I had a good look around this car yesterday at TGM and it's a great example. There are no issues as far as I could see and I'm very picky with cars. The new owner will be very happy.
One thing I will say is that there's nothing wrong with the engine bay at all, get a picture up.
