Default Anyone in Twin Cities with SC?

If anyone with an SC is planning on attending an upcoming meet and would not mind answering some q's or taking me for a quick spin let me know and I will show up!!!!! Kind of curious to see what they can do and if I need to blow some cash.

"s2k" had a vortech SC on his S, but he sold it and bought an M3. He might be able to answer your questions though.

That may have been the one for sale on car soup when I bought mine. I am most curious about the comptech and what the difference in feel is over stock as far as street driving.

I had a Vortech SCer on my S and I chose that over the Comptech because the Vortech came with an aftercooler as part of the package. Comptech came out with their aftercooler after Vortech released theirs, but it's gonna cost you an extra grand on top of their kit price. Either kit is well built...just depends on how much you wanna spend. From what I've heard, the Comptech kit is a bit easier to install. I installed my Vortech kit myself and didn't have any problems.

A SCed S2000 drives like a normal S2000 if you don't push the pedal. I can tell you that if you think a stock S2000 screams to 9000RPM fast...you will love how fast it gets to 9000RPM when SCed.

I was running low 13's with my SCed S2000 at the 1/4 track...I know I could have done better but I didn't want to break anything expensive just to run 12's. Just to give you and idea of how fast a SCed S2000 can be. When I had my SCed S2000, I've run with two BPU Supra TTs on the freeway and I was able to beat one of them (two runs) and other one we called it a tie (ran 4 times). Those Supra TT ran 12's at the 1/4 track. Owners gave me props for a stock looking S2000 that was able to beat or hang with them.

I would love to give you a ride in a SCed S2000, but unfortuntely I sold the car to a guy from St. Cloud. You'll not regret the SCer kits, the only think I regret was selling the car.

If you have any other questions, let me know. I'll try and answer them to the best of my knowledge.
