There are 2 autocrosses in Melrose Park this weekend.

Saturday - Audi Car Club Chicagoland Chapter (audichicago.org)
Sunday - Chicago Volkswagen Organization (chicagovw.org

Both are $35 for non members. Both are open to non-VW makes.

Anyone going to either?

I just hit 600+ miles on my CR last weekend. I've never been to an autocross outside of 2 Mazda Zoom-Zoom events separated by 2 years...roughly 3 years ago. Odds are, I'd be the worst driver on the lot...

I'm checking with my wife to make sure we don't have prior commitments. Provided she's good with it, I'll show up.

Is it safe to assume I'd need to pick up a helmet prior to attending?

 

i'm 50/50 for sunday.

 

If the Sunday one has donor helmets, I may be in.

I do love Miller park though and I plan on being at the Street Tire event.
