I want to autocross this weekend, but I also want to make sure I have enough rubber left on my tires for WMHM. I've got my eye on 3 in August though.

rahvis- I did my first autocross with these guys (patinum, rev9k27, jeggy, gfunk and others) back in May. Definitely a good group to learn from. They'll get you up to speed in no time.

Audi Details
More details on the Audi event. $5 helmet rental.

Chicago VW
No information about loaner helmet availability that I saw.

I haven't run at either event yet, maybe somebody who has run there before can speak up.

Sweet. Thanks! Unfortunately, I might be tied up elsewhere and will likely have to postpone joining the fray.

Thanks, though!

CVO usually have low (relative to scca and scscc) turnout. and that means you get more runs then other places.

What about helmet rental? I'm really tempted to "treat" myself to an auto-x, being today is my birthday and all.

Plus, I still need to test out the new rubber.

I posted a question on loaner helmets on the forums at chicagovw and they said they have 4 of them.

Just get a helmet already!
I'm waiting for the 2010 spec to come out to last me an extra 5 years.
