Default Chicago Mechanics I need HELP!

Hey everyone,

I live in Chicago and have been thinking about supercharging my 2005 S2000. Does anyone know who can help me install it professionally out here in Chicago. Thanks

Dan Rivers (Quivers) does good work of you've got time and patience to get a hold of him.

A few local members have installed their superchargers themselves, and I'm sure would gladly help in some capacity (Jesus, aka drkphnx, comes to mind).

Otherwise, some good local shops are Profunction and One6.

I can help. I've installed the Comptech, sos, and Vortech. The hardest parts are:

1. Fuel pump
2. Crank pulley/ attachment piece
3. Heat exchanger/ water pump

What's critical is having ALL of the components, gaskets, bolts. Something missing could slow the process several days.

I can help hook you up with Dan Rivers. He's installing my SC now. He does good work and has installed a SC and turbo for a number of members here. Like Garisson said, you need to be patient. PM me if you want me to relay any message to him, I will be at his shop a few times this week.

Just picked up a Vortech V2 for real cheap. It wasn't in my plan this year, but for $1500 for the whole kit with 1000cc injectors, I can't pass that. All I need is a fuel pump, which I picked up from Fullblown. It will be tuned on Kpro for both e85 & octane 93 gas.

That is a steal, but I'm not surprised. I picked up several at around that price.

I'm amazed at how cheap the kits go for due to a little misinformation or uneducation.

It's unfortunate though that Vortech discontinued the s2000 kits along with their specific parts. It was much, much cheaper piecing together a Vortech kit versus the Comptech. Sos doesn't even sell their pieces individually for this reason.

Roughly speaking, at retail, Vortech was 1/3 the cost of Comptechs.
