Default Coilover Install Hand

Anyone willing to help out with the install of some coilovers?
They've just been laying around the house and I've been getting the itch to get it over with. I've never attempted the job, just springs. I'm not going to lie, spring compressors and taking apart the stockies makes me and hope I don't lose an eye!

I've been trying to set something up with a buddy of mine for a Friday, and this Friday is supposed to be in the low 40's.

I can help...but you gotta come to my place. Lighted and heated garage are going to be put to use regardless of 40 degree temps on Fri.

If you have done springs, you can do it. It's pretty straight forward.

The stock springs come off the stock shocks without the need for using a spring compresser. Just a little "pop" so aim it at a cardboard box if you are removing the stock springs from the stock shocks.

The tricky part is installing the rear shocks. The "easy" way is to disconnect the sway bar. The quick way requires some creative engineering (like standing on the rotor by 1 or perhaps even 2 people.)

I used my scissor jack along with a plastic spool from a roll of 14 gauge wire as a spacer for getting the rears back in. I saw it some where in the Technical section. Worked great!!

Scroll to the bottom of this link to see picture of scissor jack. Just do not try this on the front!! Not that it would be needed.
