Default Installing stock springs

I'm putting the stock springs back on and for the life of me can't get them compressed enough to get the top hat on. The spring compressors don't fit because of the dust boot so I can't torque them down enough. How the hell can I get these back together easily?

You need a spring compressor to put the stock springs back on the stock suspension struts.

You do NOT need one to put lowering springs on.

You don't need to put the top hats on the shocks before installing; in fact, I prefer not to, since it's easy to "clock" the top hat incorrectly.

Instead, loosely mount the top hats on the car then slide the damper/spring assembly into place.

for the sake of saving time and because I got pissed off screwing with the spring compressors I went and had the stock springs put on the shocks....cost me under $40 and was well worth it LOL

Neat trick, I wish I would have thought about that before.
