Don't know where you got that from . . . I'm going with pink shaggy material.

ok, that sounds just as hideous. Black Alcantara with blue stitching is what's going in.

Well, it's been a bit longer than "a couple of weeks or so" but my dash has finally shipped. So I can expect it sometime next week.

I'm still hoping I can get a second brain and another set of hands in on the project, so if some good samaritan would be willing to help out, send me a PM.

Thanks.

P.S. RainH8R has pointed out a website that has a downloadable S2000 manual. So I have that to go off of.

Do I need any special tools that I should buy/rent for this job?

I would take lots of pictures as you're pulling things apart.

It wouldn't hurt to get some tags to label parts that you remove or connections if there are multiples of the same kind of plug

Masking tape and a fine point sharpie is faster and cheaper

Something tells me that Keith needs to set up a tech day soon. If he does and you don't have your dash installed by then, I will be more than glad to give you a hand with swapping dashes.

That just leaves you figuring out how to get your dash down to Keith's place.

I sure hope Keith is reading this thread.

If people can haul a set of rims+tires in the S, a dash should be easy....

Pulling a dash the first time usually takes about an hour with stock steering wheel. You need to unplug everything. There aren't any identical plugs so getting them mixed up is a non issue.

If you are smart you reroute the wiring so it all doesn't need to be unplugged to pull the dash.

I did this in mine and the challenge race car. I can have mine out in 20 min and the race car in less cause it has no cd player or anything.

Sweet. I sent a PM to Keith about a Tech day, but never got a reply. Sometimes my PM doesn't work . . . ?

Getting the dash TO Keith's would be simple. I own a station wagon that'll have plenty of room. So I'd just need another driver which also wouldnt be hard to find.

If I were to attempt this on my car, I would want to do it in a warm environment so plastic pieces are less likely to bend/break.

Again, Ive never taken the dash out of the S2000, so Im not sure that is a concern...but you never know.

There are plastic parts that need to be removed. This would be done in a garage, and I'd at least rent a big heater to keep things comfortable.
