The anodized aluminum plugs will look better. The plastic plugs youre thinking of are sunk into that pocket rather than being flush. But that would allow for the exposed material to be pealed back, and that yellowish glue would also be exposed.

I have the G25...The G27 has more buttons and the LED tach but that's about it.
