I would also say stay away from Optima. Mine went dead in Nov right outside my parking garage at work. I had to run 2 blocks to a Midas and pick up an overpriced one.

My car is in storage and I was worrying that my brand new battery would go dead because of the alarm. So I went out last night to take it out of the car and put it on a trickle charger.

After taking the battery out of the car I started walking back to the house and slipped on some ice on the stairs. My brand new battary flew out of my hands and shattered on impact with the ground.

Now I have another dead battery and a giant bruise on my butt.

I noted the battery on my 02 seemed to be cranking slow before I put it in storage for the winter. What does the OEM battery go for?
