What gives? It's hard enough storing the S2000 but to have a whole month more of great weather does not help. I'm going to have to re-think this time span next year, as these winters keep getting warmer.

Yes indeed. It was a beautiful day in Michigan to drive the S. I think tomorrow will be another nice one. First sign of snow and she's parked.

Had my S2000 out with top down on the Country Roads of south Ann Abor. No Police cars for miles and miles. Hahhahaha

Anyone have any experience with the car in the snow. Just put some Blizzaks on order. I hope they do the job. Any need for extra weight in trunk of winter? Please advise. Vroom Vroom!

While I have no personal experience with the S2000 in snow I can vouch for Blizzaks - I use them on my Maxima and love 'em. Also, I know many S2000 and Miata year-round driver's vouch for 'em -- so that was a good choice. Now about that 5" of clearance, hope you live in an area where they clear the streets. As for the extra weight in the trunk, that's a smart option... I know several of our Canadian year-round driver's do that.

Adam,

Just noticed the year and the color you listed in your signature area don't match... here's why:

Silverstone Metallic (silver) - MY 2000 & 2001 only
Sebring Silver Metallic - new MY 2002

So you either have a 2002 car or Silverstone Silver.

The stock tires are great in the dry, unusable in the snow (not so great in wet either) . Got caught at the grocery store last winter when all of maybe a 1/8 of an inch fell and boy were they squerrely. There was a very gradual incline that I almost didn't make it up. I'm parking it for this winter (it was new last winter and wanted to drive ). Have blizzaks on my Integra GSR and they work very well. Probably won't get winter tires for the S because I have the 2 other vehicles at my disposal. Can't stand hitting I-94 potholes and salt

With snow and salt somewhat here, I sadly washed my car today, and tucked it into the garage.... so sad.....

I think that I'm about to develop a paranoia.

All I read about are posts that talk about how bad the car is to drive in the wet, much less the snow.

What am I missing? My S2000 with 5000 miles and the stock S02OEM tires, handles fantastic in the wet and MUCH better than I had hoped for in the snow. The only problem that I forsee this winter is one of ground clearance.

I'm not complaining or trying to tell anyone that I'm a super driver (I know better than that), I'm just puzzled. Why is my car OK, when everyone else is having trouble?

Bob

I have driven my S here in wisconsin snow already and it is horrible in those conditions. i try to drive my fiance's 2000 civic EX when i can. otherwise, it's unbearable. do blizzaks and a few sand bags in the trunk really help at all??
