Default The only good thing about having to park the S2000 for the winter

Unfortunately, I live in an area where there is snow for 4 months of the year, and I park my car for the winter, in favor of my Jeep Cherokee. Several times during the winter, the roads were completely dry, so I was able to take my S2000 out. Being able to drive the S2000 after a month or more of not driving it at all is like experiencing VTEC for the first time again. It's just too sweet. But then the snow comes again, and I have to park my S2000.

I think that if you drive it (virtually) every day, you start to take it for granted to a certain extent. It gives you a whole new appreciation for the car!!

AMEN brother. I live near Lake Erie and we get the lake effect snow squalls (like yesterday) and my baby is parked in the garage. It's like those that live in southern California and all their nice weather, they don't truly appreciate the change of seasons. We; anxiously, look forward to spring when we get to start driving our babies daily with the top down.

I got my car on December 13th. Not a day goes by that I am not the happiest person around!

My friends make fun of me for something that I didn't realize I did ... when I park the car (whether at work, lunch, their house, etc.), I walk away ... and then I turn around and look at my car and smile.

At work when I'm taking a break or talking on my cell phone, I walk over to the window and stare while I'm talking/thinking (didn't realize that one either)

At a mall or grocery store when I'm coming BACK to the car, I look around to see who's admiring the car in the crowd. I'll speed up my pace if I notice someone who looks interested ... 'cause I just want to talk about my car!

And, of course, at night ... I open the garage and turn on the light to see my car ONE more time before I go to sleep.

AND THIS IS JUST LOOKING AT IT!!!! I'd have to go one for several more pages on driving it.

"Take it for granted"??? Not on your life!

Sandy

I find it intrigueing that the s2k looks very different from multiple angles.

One could argue that the shape is just a boring egg, but when you look at the car it is so freakin appealing!

Said the same thing in a thread yesterday - I gt to take mine out for a few hours, after 3 1/2 months. Probably won't take it out again for two more, but the "fix" was great!

t.c. you will love it even more than you do today. Ain't nothing like top down driving in a beautiful roadster. I was lucky enough to have been able to drive with the top down a couple of days each in December thru February. It's hard to believe, not yet in March.

I took it out today. Wow is it ever sweet! It sure handles a lot different than my 97 Jeep Cherokee!! Nice to be back behind the wheel of my S2000.
