i am not sure if you got your key cut yet but what the dealer told you is B.S. The first time i went to get my extra key the service writer said the same thing. but when i asked around people told me to go straight to the parts desk and not service. the parts dept cut the key and programmed it for free. hope this helps.

I had a spare key cut and programmed at the parts counter for $25. Thats if you have a key for them to copy your program from to put on the new key. If you don't have a key to copy then its big bucks to get one made.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the info... this whole key thing became a pain because no one at the dealership seems to be able to get the story straight...

Thanks once again!
