ZII's are completely different to the Star Specs unfortunately, I'm really not happy with the ZII's at all. I'm hoping the "new" Star Specs are more like the old ones, or I'm sticking with RE-11A's in the future.

Driving back from Mid Ohio this past Sunday was awful, so much noise. BTW, I didn't notice the wiggle in my S on the on the ZII's mine are standard S2000 sizes - 215/245

When you're talking about the wiggle, are you referring to the Gingerman drive or from Mid Ohio? I only ask because around me in Illinois the car is fine, it was just the Michigan roads that were making it act a fool.

Hmmm.... It's such a mystery. I am going to have the alignment checked again to see if anything moved, but I didn't change anything except the two new tires as far as the drivetrain goes.

Parts of I94 (and a few other roads around in MI) that have the grooved pavement (concrete, not asphalt) I get wiggle when I'm driving in my Land Rover. I drove the S to MidOhio over the weekend (this is a different stretch of I94 than what you'd take to Gingerman from Chicago) and I didn't get the wiggle in the S, just the road noise from the grooved pavement from the ZII's.

There's also a section of pavement near me that I travel everyday that effects the LR, I've only traveled it in the S twice this year, but I didn't notice it. I drove my wife's Jeep Wrangler a few times on the same exact stretches of road and do not get the same wiggle in it, just the LR.

Since the LR and Jeep have similar sized tires my only guess is it's the tire compound or tread pattern causing it. The LR tracks perfectly on all other road surfaces, as does the Jeep, so my only conclusion is the tread pattern of width that causes it.

Now, if you're running the same size as me (215/245) it would have to be something else, but I have no idea what, since as you say, my car is fine on all other road surfaces too.

Hope that made sense.

Edit: Tire Rack says it's tramlining - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=47

I run the 255's all the way around. That tramlining certainly explains the condition to the T.

It's definitely gotta be the tires, all I keep reading about with tramlining issues is tires. Well that explains it. I'll drive up to the track on my Z1's and switch them around when I get there lol. Kind of disappointed with the Z2's beyond this too.
