I may know a thing or two about tickets as well

Pete, it's 3 convictions in a two year period for those under 21, and then it's 12 months.

Angela, unfortunately, yellow is right, it will count as a conviction. You can still sign up for traffic school if the ticket was issued no longer than a year ago (which I would advise you to do, because cops do take into consideration if you have a conviction or not when you get pulled over).

The cop told me that it wasn't going to be on my record and I even checked...its NOT on my record and that was in january! maybe you guys got it mistaken...the cop gave me a "parking ticket" for speeding...

I second that with Angela's comment... I, too had a run-in with the boys in blue back in March but he was really cool about it (mainly because I admitted it and got everything ready even before he came up to my window.... well, & a little PR work with my ex-neighbor's business card didn't hurt... ) In the end, I got a warning and a ticket for expired registration.... still better than a stupid speeding ticket

I believe if you got pulled over in DuPage county and paid the fine... you wouldn't even need to go to traffic school!!

Only REPEAT only if you check the guilty box AND ask for court supervision. If you just plead guilty or Nolo Contendere and pay the fine, you will get a point on your license/record.

And if you have had court supervision already in the previous 12 months, you're out of luck and get that point on your license/record as well. I know, because they got me 2 weeks early the last time.

> YellowS2kPwr, just wondering if you had any type of radar dector "ON"? You think this could've helped?

>ruexp67, so you're a speed demon, do you have a radar?

I'm pondering whether to get V1 and whether that's worthy the price...
