i fell your pain, even thou s2000 are fun, you dont want to drive it everywhere and put miles on it. im in the same spot where i have s2000 and my suburban was totalled january 15th. i dont really need two cars(two insurance payments, stickers, plates, paymants)on the other hand i dont wanna put miles on the s2000, plus its still kinda work in progres and not always reliable. My opinion beater is always good to have. good luck with decision, ill check back to see what you'll decide. (sorry for my english- its my second language)

I'd say if you really like the car keep it...where there is a will, there is a way. But if you can get good money for it from your friend, why not seek out something you might like better?

What's your daily commute like? I'd say keep the dd if you can. My S is for fun only - not commuting. I plan on keeping it forever, so I'd like to keep the miles down (already at 70K ). Or, sell the DD and use the money to move out to an apartment/condo closer to work.

Id sell the gsr. Buy a cheaper dd. My insurance was pretty rough on my gsr, not to mention you have to put premium in it, and the threat of theft. I bought my s2k after my gsr was stolen.

Id sell the gsr, pick up a civic or something comparable, with cheap insurance, that you could just put liability on, and move out of the parents house closer to work/school.
