Post up if you'd be interested in either.
I'm interested.

If logistics get too complicated we can resort to 7 arrive & drives for $70. Then no individual risks a large sum of money.

Car Club Challenge is coming up mid September also. This is a 300 lap team endurance race.

I'm interested for sure! I was really hoping they had leagues already set up, but what better than one of our own.

Finally Pat I can run with you in similar equipment!

A once a month runoff sounds like a blast. It shouldn't be too hard to arrange night a month.

Pat, are you and 'your friend until the flag drops' taking the helm on this?

I can pitch in, but I'm afraid I have fewer personal connections in the local S2K community than I did a few years ago.

but definitely count me in!

I was speaking to a friend/competitor of mine and he was thinking of starting up a winter league. A group of drivers who would be serious about going at least once a month, maybe more, when our cars are in storage. Dedicated enough to pay a good portion up front. I'd like to think if we talk with CIR we could work out a discount if we prepay a percentage for a season and come on a typically slow night.

Otherwise, I could try to organize another S2000 meet there. I used to organize them in the past but between late sign ups and no-shows it became quite the hassle. My new idea is for people to paypal me a deposit (25% or so) first.

Post up if you'd be interested in either.
intrested!

That looks like a blast. If we do a league then I won't be able to make it on Wednesdays.

Pat,

I've never met K1ngfunK, but I think you've been at the track with him. Is he one of the guys you dusted-off with little effort??

I know the blue S2Ks are slower, but since you both have blue.....

Gentlemen, let the trash-talking begin

Besides, at the end of the day, I get to drive home in the best looking color.

K1ngfunk hasn't been to the track yet...except for that ride along where I found I had no brakes coming into 12 at autobahn south. But I have dusted him at autox We did do an endurance race at CIR together once where I did 9 of our teams fastest 10 laps. Considering the sheer domination, it really wouldn't be right for me to trash talk

They do have their own leagues. We could join one of those or do our own thing we can probably tailor closer to the communty's schedule and preferences.

My buddies league was more him talking about his plans and inviting me to join. I don't think he'd mind if I split off and we did an S2k league. I could take the helm, but I have a bad habit of getting frustrated with planning and just allow things to fall to pieces. So it would probably be best if someone else took charge or at least have someone else to back me up when I'm slacking.
