Default little HELP plz......

can anyone tell me why my car chokes when i hit vtec?? and it doesnt happen all the time.....i appreciate your help

probably when the car is still cold right after you start driving,

always alow it to worm up.

Is it throwing a CEL?

Check your oil level and do a MAP whack... both of these little things have caused my car to behave terribly. Also, if you're trying to VTEC before you've got three bars of heat on the motor the car won't let you.

I also had an issue with valves tightening up that caused a problem like that.

...and try not hitting VTEC in reverse... it never works out well.

Look at how nice the UMW people are. This guy has been a member for 5 years with an average PPD of 0...if this were another forum everybody would have told him to buzz off.

Id offer advise but all the basics have been covered already

it's been 3 days and he has not responded with, ".....oil level is fine. what else could be the problem?"

so it's probably safe to assume that it WAS the oil level being low. he topped it off and is happily back to his daily routine of not posting.

its not that guyz,,,just been bz,,,,thats right i used to hang before "5yrs ago" remember the hooter dayz and one time at urmil's house,,,

but anywayz the oil level is fine,,,i alwayz warm it up,,someone mention the map sensor but could it be that?? like what i said it doesnt happen all the time
