Default Looking for mechanics with s2k experience

I'm in mid Michigan freeland area. And I'm looking for a mechanic/shop that has worked on s2000's before. Looking to get my valves adjusted and upgrade my retainers/keepers to ap2 ones. I have an 01 that's stock (engine wise).

Not sure if you're willing to trek to the Chicago area, but if so, I highly recommend Phong.

Neither of those two things require a special skill set, so as long as you can find a shop with good reputation, you're good to go. I would say from 0-10 as far as difficulty goes, those are about a 4.

It's a job I wouldn't do by myself. It's all about feels; so it's quite hard to judge.

Valve adjustment has to be done with a cold engine so you have to leave it overnight wherever the job will be done. Looks simple to me and I'm going to try in a couple of months.

Got it done at Jurgen's (livonia, mi). Nothing but good review from local s2kers and others. I'll be upgrading my retainers though myself once I acquire the right tools. I need to start learning how to work on this f20 myself besides doing just bolt-ons

I've read nothing but good things about Jurgen's. I wanted to send my non-running S2000 there, but the towing costs would be through the roof since I'm in Lansing. Definitely a place I want to stop by once my car is running again.
