I really hope Billman is right, I really don't want to have to rebuild the head a week before WTD.

I've asked the dealer to check the valve adjustment, I've also asked if they can perform a compression test & leak down test, if they can't I'll take it elsewhere.

That sucks, hope everything turns out well!!!

So, do you think they could have f-ed up the first valve adjustment causing the bent valves, or do you think they just didn't notice they were bent the first time, or do you think it's just coincidence?

I think it's the same problem from the fall. The car had 31k on it when they did the valve adjustment and now has 32k, so my guess is they put it within spec, but as I drove it, the problem worsened. I really don't know for sure.

I would probably say something to the dealer as far as the valve being bent 1,000 miles after they did a valve adjustment. That seems fishy.

I'm pretty sure it was bent before they did it, but I will also ask for all the old parts to have them inspected.

I don't fully understand how they could have missed it, but I think the outcome would have been the same either way.

I'm still not convinced in the skills of that dealership.

They have never been known for good service on any Honda, let alone a model that they typically sold a total of one or two annually.
