I decided to post this here mostly as a test to see if anyone still uses this Forum.
Our 1st year S2000 was in need of new tires based on time, and has always run the OEM Bridgestone Potenza S-02's (3rd set in 40K miles) since new.
Since the stock-sized choices are very limited now, I went with General G-MAX RS's this time.
Our tire shop (who has a Road Force balancing system) was impressed with how little weight they had to add after mounting these tires to the stock 16" wheels (including one with zero weights), which is always a good sign.
I have around 50 miles on these new Summer-only performance tires, but so far they feel quite good.
I have an AP2, but haven’t tried those tires. I’m currently running the Conti extreme contact but they’re from ‘16 so I’ll have to replace them soon based on age. I haven’t been super happy with the Conti’s anyway so no major loss.
Thinking about Michelin next time around. I think my favorite tires are the original Dunlop star specs.
