Spark Plug TSB in Chicagoland...???
I'm happy to report that Community Honda did my TSB02-042 successfully. The procedure took almost an hour, not too painful. I applied the sticker for the update in my owners manual, this is now history! Good luck guys!

Ulrich, did you go to Valley to get it done? I was thinking of going there cuz it's closer to the house than Grand (where I bought her)

Valley kind of lost me when the guy told me that "we have had hundreds of those cars in here and none had these problems..." blahblahblah. If they have worked on hundreds of S2000s, you can put a dress on me and call me Betty. That personal relationship and TRUST is important to me. It just shows that the guy either did not know what he was talking about, did not listen to me and my concerns, or both of the above.
If you decide to take your car in at Valley, let me know what your experience is like.
I had the TSB done today at Castle Honda in Morton Grove and it was a pretty fast and good experience. My S is fine. I was there this morning and came across two other S2000s. One was black and the other was an 02 Yellow. Anyone of those owners members?
I questioned the service department regarding:
1. Oil changes and the special additive from manufacturer during break in period.
2. Plastic rear window
For oil change, I spoke to two asst. service manager and got two different views. One told me that I need it every 1000 mi. due to Chicago weather conditions. And the other told me every 3750 mi. I came to a conclusion, that I will be doing it every 3750 mi. since I hardly drive my car (two kids, no room for car seats).
For the plastic rear. My S's plastic rear is badly hazed. I asked what can be done but the service manager I spoke to has no suggestions. Pretty much, he said that its plastic and that's what is expected. I plan to buy some 3M products to see if I could get it clear again. I had a convertible before with plastic rear. I was not able to get it cleared with any products. Any suggestion? Plexus? Has anyone of you had plastic rear window replaced under warranty? If so, how was it? Where?

By the way, I asked the dealer to clean the plastic rear and found out later that they buffed it. The plastic rear is clean now. Only a portion where they went over the plastic rear and stained (white) the top but I can clean that with a brush.
Well, I got it done at Honda of Lisle tonight. Good service, fast, knowledgable. The service manager did a bit of chit-chat while I was waiting and encouraged me to check the oil because "the cars are burning through straight from the factory." Old news for us, but it shows that he at least looked at the car's documentation.
I'm happy with them. Will probably go back for other service inspections as well...
