Default Tears in soft top

Recently i have notice tears in my soft top. I've seen many complaints in other sections like "tell honda". I live in Lake Villa, IL and i have called many dealerships about this problem. I have less than 8k...garage kept...and covered.

Does anyone in the Chicagoland have a similar problem? Did you take it to a specific dealer to get it fix? Gurnee, Crystal Lake, and Libertyville said that these tears are not covered under warranty. Does anyone have helpful advise?

Does anyone know if the entire softtop is covered under Honda's extended warranty? Are there "teirs" of the warranties they offer?

Reason I ask is I have a small "velcro" type strip that runs down each side of the rear glass window. The right side of it is flopping around and I have a 100k mile Honda warranty. I took it to a dealer near work and they said the fabric and fabric related peices of the softtop are not covered.

Should I try another dealer? Anyone take their car to Elgin or Schaumburg?
