Lee,
I showed my wife the info on the FWT and she is all for it. How do I get signed up? The event last yer really looked like alot of fun & it looks like there was even a Corvette there (I figured I would get kicked out for having a Vette LOL)

It was nice to see people actually enjoying the weater & being able to drive around it shorts with the top down. After our first winter here I was about ready to give up all hope of actually being able to take the car out of the garage, let alone driving with the top down...

Thanks...

How does Chicago compair with London?
Dont get me wrong - London is still the best city in the world (sorry guys!) but Chicago is where i want to live. I doubt Ill ever move back to the UK again. I have a better life over here, things are soooo much cheaper!!

Glad to see you signed up for the FWT05....

pm me if you wanna meet up sometime and talk S - you're like 5 mins from my house

Hi Just moved to Lake in Hills, Il. from California. Nice area, but the weather sucks.
I have a 2004 New formula red "S". There is another S in the area just like mine, except he has a rear spoiler, it's cool and we wave as we pass by.
I'm in Algonquin....stop on by one of these days. In fact, if you come out with your Corvette, my neighbor across the street may join us (he's a sub-80's Vette enthusiast).

Hope to meet you in person soon...btw, why in the heck would you move from Cali to here (aside from getting away from the taxation and state economy situation Cali has to deal with)?

There were two vettes at last year's FWT. One was driven in the tour by the photography/video guy and his wife (SVTMach1.) The other was just in the parking lot in St. Joe. It was a C6 about 3 mos before they were relased. I am thinking GM exec.

BTW -- FWT05 is restriced to S2000's only.

The Chicago guys didn't kick me out when I bought my Vette, so your fine.

That make two of you Cali transplants to our general area....what's Cali doing? First they outsource jobs to India, Ireland, and now to Illinois?

Who knows about Ca. The weather is great most of the time (other than 3 or 4 weeks in Feb) but it's ridiculously expensive to live there (the money difference in the house I sold & the house I bought here paid for my "S"), there is also a big gang problem....

I really love it here, but I will be happier when all that nasty white stuff goes away......

....then the nasty rain, then the nasty heat/humidity, then a month of good weather, then leaves everywhere, then more nasty white stuff.... vicious cycle!
