I have seen moth balls at Walmart in the cleaning aisle..... I recomend a differnet route though.

I have been using dryer sheets, a 60 pack per car since I got it in 2005, they have been doing very well at keeping the rodents away. I also place baited traps at all the points mice can use to get up to the car, front and back of each tire.

Where do you place the dryer sheets? Any outside the car?

I flood the inside of the car with dryer sheet, the floor, under the seats, in the trunk. I also put some in the engine bay by the fuse box and intake, plug a couple in the mufflers, anywehere mice are known to go. It has worked well for me.

^^Thanks for the feedback.

How important is it to have a climate controlled storage?

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a good storage in the Milwaukee area that doesn't have rodents and is climate controlled?

I use my heated garage....but one potential option/alternative for you is other s2ki members garages. I remember seeing in the past others have offered up a spot for less $ than a storage unit.
