WMHM 12 Gingerman
Awesome weekend! This was my first track experience and I loved it.
It really makes my appreciate our cars so much more now.
Oh, and I got in front for the pics somehow

I put down a 1:47.0xx about a second off my personal best but not bad for the tires I was on. My buddy did a 1:47.7xx on his AP1 which is really quick given his setup.
I had a great time there with everyone as well, despite the turn of events. A HUGE thank you to everyone that helped me try to get my car working again... whether that meant lending me tools, jacks, time/help/expertise, or even your S to get parts (Cezar is seriously awesome). This seriously has to be the best car community out there. I look forward to next year!
Wow, only 1:57.73 for me according to Harry's LapTimer Pro. I've got pretty much a stock setup on a MY04, except for brake pads, brake fluid, and a UK-ish alignment with Dunlop Star Spec tires. Looks like I've got to improve the driver significantly, but I was really rusty since I've not done any HPDE since WMHM 8.
Besides the driver, what else can I do to decrease lap times? Someone told me sway bars would be a great bang for the buck. This is a daily driver for me so I am looking for streetable changes.

Sway bars are great! Autocrossers use really really really big sway bars. The only ones hardcore autoxers would even consider using are the Gendron, Ankeny, Comptech Adjustable, and Saner. The first 2 are around $1k I think and the last two are discontinued I think (but can be found used). Oh, and you really only want a front sway bar. Forget the rear. If you don't want to spend that much I've heard good things about the Whiteline bar and even something like the OEM CR sway bar is a good cheap improvement ($100?).
Seat time really is the answer though whether it be autocross or track days. I imagine you're looking to be a faster driver, not necessarily have a faster car. Track days are fun regardless of how fast your car is. If there's enough interest I could look into setting up an S2000 track meeet or autocross. May have enough connections to make a private event if we can get enough people.
My buddy Michael. He goes by mron0903 here but doesn't post often because he's a jerk that doesn't listen to me (although he did listen to me when I told him to buy an S2000). We've been racing together for years. He's the one that put down that fast lap at Forza Saturday night.
