WMHM 12 Gingerman
I do plan on buying one, but with funds being short at the moment, I'd take whatever I could get. Thanks for all the info guys, and I hope to meet you all there.

I want to join in on this so bad. I've never raced on a track before, I'm actually a little nervous. My funds are short this year, but I do plan on attending next year. I'll be sure to have newer tires, brakes, etc. If you guys can recommend anything for me, it'd be greatly appreciated.

edit: also as a side note, Wangfest on May 28th is a good event to go to for track noobs. The organizer of this event is encouraging people to come out for ride alongs. http://wangfest.blogspot.com/
I'm instructing this event also.
I do plan to come along and spectate, as I was talking to Garrison earlier about possibly hitching a ride with him. Or if anyone else wouldn't mind, I'd be more than willing to throw down for gas and food.
Aside from that, where would I be able to find one of these helmets for cheap? I'd only be using it this season to ride along, and would plan on getting something decent for next season.

I should have a headsock somewhere you could borrow if you're borrowing someone else's helmet, since they are put through some pretty nasty, sweaty use. Also, when it comes time to buy, I'd suggest going to the place Brian (2PointSlow), among other members, went to to try ones on and buy. I can't think of the shop's name now, but since it's important to have a good fit, it's nice being able to try on a bunch of helmets in-person. I've been using my motorcycle helmet, but when the time comes to actually buy a proper automotive helmet, I'd like to buy through them.

Wait listed for instructing and Advanced II is now wait listed. I may stay on the wait list for instructing and take my chance just coming to the event as a spectator. I like the track and all, but the social aspect is what WMHM is about for me. My wallet will probably need a mid-season break anyhow.
Not necessarily directed to you Andy, but I fully support anyone going through beginner group more than once. I did it (with other organizations). It's really the only way to guarantee you get instruction. And instruction is something I always regret not getting more of when I started.

. SO I will just let you do your thing and if you got a spare lap or 2.. Even that would do.. But I understand. I really want to start to develop my own strategy. That how I learn best. Nontheless I know there are other peeps who have been out there , that I would not mind. Garrison if you wont be in the event I wouldnt mind instruction from you or anyone who has a free time during the event. i just noticed as in autox whenever i had someone else in my car my times got better. They had pointers and some worked for me and others didnt. But i had a bigger bag of tricks in the end.
Im so happy that our community is like this. I am looking forward to the season and events like these..
