I'll probably go again and hope it isn't a total swamp this year.

I totally didn't have anything approximating rain tires and couldn't drive half the time.... and my pit became a river.

Other than that, decent group, well run event, I liked it even better than Cats.

What is the word on acceptability of an OEM setup (i.e., no aftermarket roll cage or hardtop) at this event?

Should be fine -- but ask the organizers. Contact info is at the website.

Thanks, I sent an e-mail to their contact address. I will post their response here for anyone else who may be interested.

Registered...waiting a bit to Pay 4th WMHM for me. 3rd year in a row.

I'm 99% sure you won't need a roll bar for this event. The track has yet to put any roll bar restrictions for S2000's (afaik) and the group is pretty laid back.

If any beginner S2000 owners want to guarantee instruction from a fellow S2000 owner, I can try to sign up as an instructor.

My roommate is going with his RX-8 also. As the time approaches we can consider a caravan up there or something.

Yeah, I don't think they had any issue with stock S2k's running. I have a bar, so didn't bother to ask.

As a second to patinum.... I'll gladly offer help & ride-alongs to any new S2000 drivers out there, but on a more informal basis than registering as an instructor. Sorry, I'm sure I'd qualify but the scheduling can be a PITA , and I may still be sorting out my new (to me) car.

Patinum, my memory sucks. Did we ever meet and talk? I was they yellow S2k pitted along the main exit road from facility, right at the corner of that little cut-off road from the pits close to the track?

I didn't get much running in last year (which was my first) due to treadless R-comps. Once the track started to puddle it was undriveable on treadless tires. Or you might remember me from backing it into the sand at turn 11..... stopped short of the guardrail by inches..phew!
