Just wanted to say that this event was a blast. First ever HPDE for me and I'm addicted. I just need to invest in some brakes now. I was the stock 2002 GPW / red interior running in beginner class.

If anyone has any good pics or videos of beginner, throw up a link. I know there were 2 other s2k's in that class as well

I am his friend in the red s2000, and no I didn't say that.
No...your friend said that.

Which group were you in? I only remember one red S2000 in advanced 1 and to my observation, I usually caught up to him from the back of the pack. I also passed him once and kept a substantial distance. Although, after the time I passed him, I kinda got sleepy/tired/sloppy towards the end of the session and he was able to close the gap a little. The one I'm talking about had a "challenge" license plate overlay.

Again....not penis swinging. Not trying to sound like a jackass either. Just calling it like it was.

Wow this thing really blew up. It's kinda unnecessary.

Here's my orginal point, and this is aimed at nobody in particlar. Pat asked for laptimes, and a lot of theorizing and guessing went on. If your only timing was how the car felt and how fast it felt you were going then the chances are that you are extremely inaccurate. In my experience, when it feels and looks like you are going really fast, you aren't. When it feels and looks like you are going pretty slow, you might be slow or you might be fast.

Basing a laptime off catching and passing someone that you know ran a x:xx.xxx laptime is equally as much of a guess since you don't know what the driver was doing for the few laps you were interacting with them. Maybe they were cooling brakes, maybe they were trying to run as fast as they could.

At the event my video was taken from I passed a yellow Z06 on hoosiers with my street tired S2000. I allowed myself to be quite proud of this. I can show you what happened in the very next session. It wasn't pretty for me.

So I guess my point is this. A properly timed laptime means very little to anyone other than the driver that set it and any coaches working with the driver. An improperly timed laptime (i.e. guessed) means nothing to anyone.

I shouldn't have put up a video showing a laptime since that's what started all of this. Sorry guys, lets get back to enjoying our cars and our track days. The day we are all being paid to do this we can get the cocks back out and swing them around our heads.

That wasn't me. I was running with my other friend in the grey Evo in the intermediate classes.
