woah...lots of analysis.
I'm an engineer. Analysis is a form of breathing for me. I wish you had video of your best runs. At least after you pass the white S2000 in the second video you have some clear space until the camera dies. After you get around him, I see that you take a tighter line through 7, 8, 10, & 2. The-moss and I drift to the outside. What attracted you to the tighter line? I've only been tracking for a year (WMHM9 was my first track day ever) I'm trying to learn as much as I can from you guys with experience.
I think the only two areas I paid attention to mph wise was coming out of T-9 to T-10 I hit 80-82 mph (4th gear). T-10 to T-11 I was hitting 106-109 (5th gear).
edit: after finally looking at my video I was actually hitting 87-89 going from T-9 to T-10.
First session Sunday morning was sprinkling for us, so I ran top up for the one and only time of the weekend. I don't think there is any debate that top up is faster. But here is some data that shows how much faster.
This is from 10 -> 11. Top up started at 41.9 mph and finished at 107 mph. Top down started at 45 mph and finished at 102.7.
I ran top up the last few sessions but really didn't notice i was going much faster. The only time I did notice was when i gave fat passengers a ride. lol, going up the hill seemed to take a lot longer.
I looked at all my video from Day 2. I was running 1:52-1:54 with badly fading, mushy brakes and a 200lb passenger (lol). I was braking a lot earlier than the morning sessions so I'd say I was at least doing low 1:50's touching 1:40's at best.
This vid is the 2nd to last session of Day 2. My brakes were done...time for SS lines.
