Lots of claims here with no evidence to back it up.

I've never run an S2000 on the old course and never timed any of my other cars on the old course so

Same here. I would figure like 1:37-1:38ish on the old course? On worn out starspecs and KW V3s and CT pads. Stock engine except for an intake.

PATINUM, I think we were running very similar times at WMHM9 (but a little slower on my side). I'm the guy with the Blaque AP1 with Gold ADVANs if you remember me. We tended to kinda run back and forth pretty much on each other's heels, IIRC.

This year, the only changes were exhaust, test pipe, and wider rear tires (but a fresh set of 4 tires...so a lot better grip). I bought starspecs again. As a very wide time frame, I would conservatively guess 1:47-1:51 without traffic. Mayyyybe 1:45-1:46 as a fastest, but that's really pushing it. I can judge this only because there was someone with a modded EVO that just told me he was running 1:43s and I would have figured he'd be about 3-4 seconds faster than me from what I saw.

He said on another forum
"I'm on a Shearer Fab header w/ 30R running 20-22 psi. Cosworth 272, stock motor, KW's and Star spec tires and CL pads, Thats about it."

I remember the car being a little slower than mine as far as technical cornering. But FREAKING HELLA FASTER on the straights and turns where I was flooring it anyway (turn 7, for example). It ate up straights like crazy. So I'm sure he was making some power. Anyway, like I said, he said he was doing around 1:43 and I really wasn't much slower from what I observed.

So...in other words, I really have no clue lol.

the-moss - yeah, I don't mean to internet race. I'm just jealous because I didn't go to WMHM and I'm trying to get an idea of how much longer the new course is. Plus i like to set goals for myself.

B serious - yeah I remember you. That's one hell of a time on street tires. I think we were putting down 1:38/39's last year. I only say that because I remember I got faster when I went out for NASA TT and my best there was a low 1:37. Of course I don't remember how much faster I got so we could have been running 1:37/38's.

Pat, what week were you thinking of going to a T&T? I'm down to go again.

Yeah lol...like i said, my measuring is nowhere near accurate. So I could be wrong. The car felt fast, though Haha.

?? I said I had solid info? I could hve sworn I said something like "I have no clue" and "I'm sure this isnt accurate" several times.

I should mention that he also said his buddy was in a red S2000 running 1:50-1:53 and his thought was that I was looking faster than that. It's all speculation, friend. I was clear on that. Hopefully your reading skills improve.

Also, not sure why you're trying to make it seem like I was proud of myself or showing off that I was slightly faster than him on the tech sections. I was just stating the scenario as it was. It was just a HPDE. Not a penis swinging contest.

I'm not a bench racing fan either... I was just talking about a fun event and B.S.ing around telling stories like everyone else was.

I also never said I was an engineer. I would have expected more out of a quoted "reader of the english language". I think I might have said "engineering student", however. Since we're getting so specific and all....
