Cheap Stock Exhaust Modification
I had my stock exhaust modified last week by having the resonator removed and replaced with 2 1/2 inch stainless steel piping. The sound between 2000-5000 rpms is slightly louder and lower toned. It's no where close to an aftermarket exhaust but definitely more aggressive than stock. Above 5000 rpm, the engine intake takes over. I love the sound of the exhaust now as you can actually hear it but it's not loud and irritating if you are trying to have a conversation in the car.
Master Muffler in Sandy still has some 2 1/2 stainless steel piping if anybody is interested. The manager of the store is Craig and he will do the complete job for $40. His number is 566-0442. I definitely recommend this mod as there is no droning at all and it makes the S sound more aggressive.
