o come on guys... i know someone knows some info about this. my plan is to get the short ram intake first, then the radiator shroud, then get the funnel looking thing that connects to the air filter. i found this intake on the A&J Racing's website on sale for $276. good price; good intake; some advice would be cool??

Short ram intake is more likely to cost you RWHP than make it. Ends up taking in more hot air than the stock box. Makes the car louder ... if that's all you want. You can pick up a used AEM CAI for pretty cheap. I sold mine a couple of years ago for $90.

In my opinion, new ... they're not worth the $$.

On a budget or not ... I'd skip the Js.

If you want to spend some $$ now, buy some a gears / final drive.

If you're looking for advise, I would sit back and decide what you are trying to get out of your car. All of us, when we first get the S just want to modify the crap out of it. Whatever seems neat at the moment, if we can afford it, we want to do it. If you have limited funds (like most of us), I'd definitely do some research and see what you really want to get out of your S before you start spending money. I'm sure most of us here have bought something for their S and ending up wishing they hadn't bought it since they found something better or just decided it wasn't worth it. If you plan on owning your S for a while take your time. Decide how much you are going to spend before you start, otherwise you'll end up spending way more than you think!

i appreciate all the advice....that was exctley what i was looking for. i plan on going the comptech supercharger way. i wanted to get an intake for now, until i can afford the S/C, then get rid of the intake.

by the way, does anyone know if i purchased the comptech cold air box, would i save money later on since the comptech kit comes with the intake??
