Stereo replacement - with Dash controls still working
Has anyone in the greater Salt Lake area replaced their stereo and had good results? Would like to replace mine but am scheptical...
Would like to add an Amp, two-ways and tweeters up front and also add some rear if possible.
Lemme know if you know a good shop and nice config - and whether or not your dash controls still work...

I have not added a amp Yet... But I installed a new Alpine radio with new front speakers & rear speakers.. I just ordered a new set of front & rears with tweeters
As for your controls still working your going to need a PAC SWI-3 adapter for your radio. So make sure when buying a radio it has a IR remote. I installed all my radio equipment myself so I can't gave you any information on a sound shop but I'm sure other Utah members will give you some help..
Are you going to make it to our get together this weekend?

K. Lemme get this straight... if I have the adapter you mentioned, the controls to the left of the steering wheel will still work right?
Also, where did you install the tweeters and rear speakers?
I would love to make it sunday. I'm a definate maybe.

I'm running a DEH-P730 Pioneer head unit, Kenwood 6 1/2" in the front doors, and Infinity seperates (4") with an additional set of tweeters in the rear (i.e. 4 tweeters)......I'm 42 and am not into the bass thing, missed it by that much (ROFLOL). My next mod is an amp and I'll definitely do this winter (currently looking at options). I'll be at the Sunday run too. The S2K is not an easy car to wire but the Utah owner's here have lot's of experience at removing panels....etc (most installers don't). We don't bite...come out Sunday and we'll talk STEREO's. I'm also looking at adding an XM Satellite radio decoder.
P.S. I worked at "Hear No Evil" (Eugene Oregon)during my college days many years ago, and have done hundreds of installs.
