Default Anyone done the CV cup swap?

Hi, My S has the pitted cv cups and i will be getting under the car this week or so. Just wondering if anyone has done it, and how much the cv covers cost. Thanks.

S2S(Duaine) did mine for me. Just swapped from left to right, right to left.

Did you guys replace the OE boots and straps when you were doing them? or can they be reused?

I re-used everything.

did you install driveshaft spacers afterwards to prevent future issues?

Nope. Wont really do much.

I dont know if you've searched about the issue.

But basically the "shaking" is from wear inside the CV cup.
So when you swap the sides. It'll start wearing in a different spot, which gets rid of the shaking.

Driveshaft spacers do the exact same thing. Make it wear in a different spot.
So even if you get driveshaft spacers, in due time it will most likely start to wear and shake again.

What are the symptoms of the worn out CV cups?

I noticed my car has a slight shake to it when I am on the gas. When I let off, the shake goes away.
