Anyone know anything about this S2000?
Hi, finally managed to come up with the funds to purcahse my first s2000! Been looking around but really cant find much in the lower mainland so far. Ive seen this one for sale for a while and was hoping if anyone knows anything about it? Is it an appropriate price? What should I be looking out for? Thanks!

Take a look at the carproof and find out why it's rebuilt titled. That being said, if the reason it has a rebuilt title isn't terrible, stolen seats or something else along those lines - maybe it's a US car? - maybe it's worth pursuing. Trying to sell a car that has a rebuilt title is a pain, everyone uses it as the forefront for wanting to pay peanuts for the car.

That one's been on sale for a long time now. The owner posts on revscene a lot. Personally I would stay away from simply due to the fact that it is 10x harder to sell even if priced right.

Yea I know having a rebuilt title makes it super hard to sell. The general rule of thumb is buy low, sell low for rebuilt cars. I talked to the seller and he said the collision was in the front but did not get near the engine, only up to the fan and no frame damage (obviously, because which seller would state that? lol) but he wouldnt budge on the price, so Im hoping more knowledgeable owners would know if his asking price is within range? If not, at what price would you guys believe is fair to pick it up if everything checks out?

the hardest part of owning a rebuilt, is selling it.
there's not really a fair or unfair price. As nice as the car is, it's the title that is keeping it from selling.
Say in 4-5 years you decide to sell it: you'll have to take into account this asking price, minus depreciation, minus what people would pay to buy a 13 year old rebuilt car.
If you tried to sell it within a year or two, most would remember the car and wonder why its being sold so soon, no matter what valid reasons there might be. (This goes for any car, but personally I would think it had something to do with the accident)
The good part about rebuilt, is that its probably saving you 20-40% of what a normal title car would be.

Come see the car and you'll know whether you like it or not, people are very opinionated, but until you see it, arguments are just void. If you're the guy who called me this morning, other than what I told you about the soft top, the title is definitely the case for why it hasn't sold. But that's ok, she runs great and I get lots of compliments. I spent lots of time and money to keep it clean and updated the services. It's been on lots of road trips and never had any issues. The price is more than fair for a 2007 and I'm losing 4k myself but I doubt you'll lose any more if you were to sell it later. If I didn't get accepted into my program which I waited 2 years to get into, it wouldn't be up for sale.
