Hi All,

My car can not go into Reverse, specially when it's cold. It's a little better when it warms up.
1st is also getting harder too. This only happens after I parked my car for a week. Coincident?
I am not mechanically familiar with cars, so any recommended places I could take my car to?

I know tuner shops are good, but since my car is stock, are there any other places that's familiar with stock S2000? BTW my car is 02.

clutch master cylinder is probably leaking. you have to pump the clutch a few times to get it in gear?

 

I will try pumping the clutch and see if it works.

 

went to a mechanic shop, quoted me $600 to fix, said master cylinder is bad. Sounds rip off much?
I suspect that bleeding the clutch should be done before replace the master cyliner? how much does it cost usually to bleed the clutch?

 

If your clutch master is leaking bleeding may help temporarly but it won't fix the issue. $600 is a bit steep considering the Honda OEM clutch master cylinder is listed at $146 plus tax so throw in some labour I have a hard time hitting $400. Are they recommending the slave cylinder as well?
