Default Door panel disassembly.

Hello,

Has anyone disassembled their doors?

My driver's side window makes squeeking noise when rolling up and down (when wet)

Instead of paying huge bucks to the dealer, I'd like to fix it myself since I have time.

Did a search on the door assembly. And found this:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=254055

This looks fairly good write ups but it'd be really helpful if I could get more detailed pictures and tools.

Is there any special tool I can pick up from lordco or CT?

Thanks.

The write up is very thorough. Basically pop off the handle cup and the one near the front of the door, unscrew/unhook what you see, then pop the panel right off.

Mine do as well..., to me that is a good sign of a good seal.

I was just going to disassemble the door and clean and put everything back on. Hoping it'd work.

Or replace any rubber part if needed.

that guide looks good, but if you want to take apart the metal 'sandwich' that the glass slides into, you can't do that, a body shop has to pry it open and seal it up again, and i think you need special tools for that.

Sweeeet! There's something rattling/buzzing in my door and it's driving me mad. Time to open it up and take a look

Mine squeeks when my car/window is dirty. Try giving your car a wash because mine goes away after.
