Driving our car in Totonto
Hi,
is it possible to drive our car in winter Toronto?
anyone have experience?
Will the snow be higher than the bottom of the car all the time?
How about STI?
Thanks

I think with snow tires, driving isn't an issue. It's the clearance with our front bumper. You'd be plowing snow when the snow gets real thick there. I suppose STi sits somewhat higher than our car...?

I used to live in Toronto and from my experience it snows a lot more in Toronto compared to BC. I could make some pretty ginormous snowmans.
The weather in Toronto doesn't flucuate as much as BC's. Snow on the roads last a lot longer.
I would drive the STI...

Why don't you post in the Ontario forum(s). I know guys in Calgary drive their cars in the winter. Even though it snows more, I think they might do a better job clearing the roads than they do out here.

yeah.. with snow tires it should be fine.. it's just the clearance of the car...
i suppose, if you have adjustable coilovers, you can adjust your ride height for the winter and then lower your car back after the heavy snow clears out. I'd also be a good chance for you to clean and rinse the underside of your car, to get rid of all the salt and grime. We used to run the sprinkler underside the car after the salt was gone as a maintenance thing when I lived back east.

I lived just outside of Ottawa and they do clean the roads better back there. Good snow tires and you should be ok. There will be a couple of days a year where you can't drive, but be prepaired, winter is longer, snow stays longer. Spring is a bitch.
