what's the road surface like?

(I remember a couple years ago, it was quite bad. Was happy my car made it back in one piece!)

We may have passed each other on Duffy I was heading towards Pemberton, we both waived. There is a stretch of road that is being worked on which was pretty rough lots of rocks and dust but take it slow and you will survive. Other than that it was a great day and an even better drive.

I'd like to drive this route, or a variation of it (w/o the rocks?) sometime.

I did it three years ago or so and it was really rough and patchy along the entire length. I did last weekend and, like you say, it was great fun for the most part. The west end of it with the construction.

On that trip I also went from Kamloops to Merritt on 5a, the Princeton-Kamloops Highway, which is good pavement as well. The area is more built up than the Duffey Hwy. but I drove it 7am Sunday so little traffic.
