Default Engine Blown

This is the second engine ive gone through the mechanic says ive spun a bearing from overrevving i think its from my cai that sucked up a little water and bent the rod cause i could hear it knocking and it got louder until it died a week later. Im wondering if you guys could recommend me a shop to get it rebuilt and if i could run JDM internals for the higher compression with stock ecu? BTW it and 01 S2000 with 149k on the body.
My other option is just get what i can from an auction and save for a newer s2k.

Make sure you do the valve retainer replacement with ap2 conversion, Or a dropped valve will make a big knock.

ttang blew his motor and I believe he runs a stroker kit, he was really happy with his build. I think he used Garage 5, not sure who or how it was tuned though. You might want to ask him.

yes, thanks Alspeed!

i did blow my engine, crankshaft bearing gave way..

go talk to Wayne at Garage5 for your options. They're on Richmond on Bridgeport. If you gotta rebuild, go bigger!

I rebuilt cus i needed a drivable vehicle anyways, so it was either buy a replacement for X dollars that you don't know how long it'll last, or rebuild stronger and it'll be pretty much brand new and you can take care of it the best way you can from day 1 of the new engine. either way, you will spend money, and it's up to you to decide your cost/benefit ratio.
