Agreed with all comments above, I don't think the guy has a case.

If you want to make him shit his pants, Get someone who is good with words to type up a very official and legal sounding email referring to legal clauses would be ideal and outlining the points that make him wrong & that if he does not rectify the issue at his expense you will forward the email to your lawyers & let them deal with it.

My boss is VERY good at this, he has turned an angry customer / associate in to a situation where they apologise to him haha

Don't we have new credit card laws now that give consumers 100% protection from items that you didn't purchase? As long as there are no more charges on your VISA and VISA has credited everything back, you shouldn't have to worry about anything. Let them pick their own shit up.

The guys wanting to sue you don't have any chance. They effed up and now they are trying to sue!?? People are so ridiculous.

Just wanted to be one more person to chime in and confirm that they do not have a case whatsoever. Will this stop them from suing, of course not. The main thing I wanted to stress is NOT to worry about this AT ALL. You clearly shipped it to their address, it was refused, and you hung onto the products in question. You have communicated that they can reimburse you for shipping it out (before you ship it out AGAIN), they can SIMPLY SEND A CALL TAG, or they can pick it up directly. You have done MORE than enough for them (as opposed to just ignoring everything from the get-go).

rest assured, you handled this all well and try not to worry any more Take care!

if you shipped it back to the address that it came from it should be fine. The company should check the package on their own cuz you provided the tracking number and the address you shipped it to already.
