Well spring is almost here and the sun is kind of coming back out.

Unfortunately, i most likely wont be able to drive through spring or summer or fall because of this ****er named mark medgyesi who is the superintendant of motor vehicles or some crap. I jus recieved a letter this morning which stated that icbc has the intent to prohibit me from driving for NINE FRIKEN MONTHS!!!!!!!!

I'll probably write them a letter to reduce the suspension or even cancel it cause i've heard many stories that it has worked and most of the times not..so i guess it doesnt hurt to try. Do you guys have any suggestions as to what i should write!?!?!....i was thinking along the lines of me needing a licence for my job as i drive a shuttle car to pick up and drop off customers, and ill be going to school in september where we will be using my car as a project and learn about the mechanical/electrical aspects of the car. My work is located in surrey and ill be taking school at BCIT which is located in burnaby. Something like that. Im still trying to brainstorm some lies haha. Hopefully it works, if not then ill probably cry. The only good thing i can think about this situation is that i wont have to pay for gas or anything so ill be able to save up a bunch of money for mods lol.

Anyways, even if im not driving ill try and set up a bunch of meets for you guys and maybe bum a ride off someone or whatever haha (please). but yaa....wish me luck guys!! .

 

They get tons of letters all the time with lies, 99% of the time they don't remove the suspension and 90% of the time they don't lessen the suspension of your license term. They hear BS all the time, and the law is there for a reason. One of my friends works for ICBC, filled me in on this situation as I had a few friends who tried to get their 6 months and 1 year suspensions lessened or lifted, they all are not N drivers and all between the ages of 25-30 now, they had letters even written by lawyers and only 1 of them had it lessened to half the term, I believe it was 3 months, but it was for valid reasons, as the guy was 30 years old and wasn't a N driver like you. (he has kids he needs to take to school and his suspensions were for speeding tickets)

Honestly Kenny, the truth hurts, but you should try to get out of it somehow, and if not then maybe learn to take transit or just be a passenger for the 9 months.

Try to get out of it the best you can, doesn't hurt to try, 9 months is a long time, or drive illegally and get busted and they will hand cuff you and take you to jail, I've heard of that happening too.

Goodluck, but having documentation about your work and school will be more convincing then just typing up a letter full of crap, people in our society aren't that dumb

Best of Luck, don't forget to check your grammar, spelling counts, but adding a some $$$ in the letter enevelope might help too...

Dude, if you want to drive wreckless at least choose your moment. I'm definitely not endorsing it but if you must satisfy your inner desires - we all do - do it when appropriate.

Don't drive while you're suspended. ICBC will refuse to cover you if you get into an accident even if it's 100% not your fault. Worst, I've met people that spent a few days in jail and it'll be on the record.

 

Ya i fully accept the suspension and admit i have a speeding problem i tried to drive 50 kms everywhere right after i got my licence back after my first suspension but i stopped trying after like 2 weeks or so...i just couldnt do it.

i wouldnt say im a crazy driver or anything its just i speed at thr wrong time have no luck when it comes to speeding tickets. i definitely dont speed everywhere either its just whenever i do speed i get unlucky. and i defintely wont be driving while im suspended. i have a lot of friends that drive too so its not really a problem for transportation if im going out and stuff its just whenever i go to work/school thats all. i COULD live without my car its just i REALLY REALLY dont want to and im going to try and make it sound like i really cant haha even though i probably could. although i dont have a schedule yet for school so im not quite sure yet.

has anyone done the class 5 road test with their s2000? i'm thinking of taking my car...but i dunno if it's a good idea.

 

you could...its just harder to do the test with a manual car....i'd rather take an automatic. ya once i get my licence back...ill ahve to wait another 2 years to get my class 5.
