Monitor calibrator- digital photgraphy

Hi ttang, of course it makes a huge difference. At work, I have all our monitors calibrated to our digital plotters and we are within 90% accuracy. Your results will vary depending the type of calibration device being used and lighting conditions. Are you doing it yourself? What kind of equipment are you working with?

i'm starting to print digital pics at London Drugs. i'm just a guy that likes taking pictures, not professional at all. I just want to make sure what i get developed resembles closely (esp stuff like skin tones) what is on my monitor.
i'm using a dual 2.0Ghz G5, Ati Radeon X800 XT on a 23" Dell P1110 CRT.
trying out Apertaure right now... seems alright for a digital workflow.
