It was optional in year 2000. If you have it, the original owner must have paid $200-300 for it at the dealer. Also note that many dealers back in 2000 were gouging on s2k's due to high demand and short supply. Some dealers were installing oem options and made them mandatory if a buyer wanted to buy the car.
