Default suggestions for mp3 deck

hey guys/gals
i'm planning on getting a new and AFFORDABLE mp3 deck soon
and i'm just wondering if you guys have any suggestions for which brand is good?
I had a sony deck in my old prelude but I have heard from many that sony is not that great for car audio.

Also are there specific decks that can work with our factory audio controls to the left of the steering wheel? or can any deck just work.. just depending on the install? How much would that kinda install cost? any recomendations or hookups?

I'm going deck shopping tommrow but i don't have a clue for what i should be looking for. any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.. thx

Well I like Pioneer & Alpine's products myself. But then depends on your budget. MP3 files' sound quality are usually not as good.

I just test drove my friend's SiR yesterday. He got a Alpine MP3 deck 60w x4. Pretty nice. Well anyway I'm not a hardcore car audio guy so...

Make sure u go to A&B sound they have better deals sometimes.

i like the blue glow of the panasonics myself.. their higher end models have mp3 capabilities, but i know that for car audio, they're not the worst, but also not the best.

MP3's quality is bad compared to CD, unless have the file as a really high bitrate.

also, you might want to consider about how much money are you goign to invest into making the audio of your S2k sound nice? if you just want a ok sound, but better than stock, then pick from middle to low-high end decks, then find a deck that has MP3 capabilities. No point picking a higher quality deck if you're not goign to get speakers and amps and etc... to match it.

if you're going for a really nice setup in the future, invest in a good deck then.

as for the remote audio controls, i remember somebody making some adapter to make it work for most of the big name brands. A&B charges $90 for install plus the price of the adapter. i'd just buy it only and install with the instructions... much cheaper

my 0.02 cents

thanks for helps guys
i'm not a big car audio guy either and in the future i'm probably not gonna invest a lot of $$ into ICE. Maybe some subs and speakers thats about it.
i just want something thats decent or best bang for the buck..
i was thinking about getting a sony cd changer off Revscene since i already have a older model sony deck but i guess i want to try out mp3's. seems kinda cool have 100+ songs on one disc

anyways gonna head off to a&b now
thx
