Default Tire Hunt

Anyone suggest a good make and model of rear tire for the S? My stock rears are done and I want to purchase like today.

I can't find the stock tires anywhere but do see lots of other that say they will fit an s2000 such as:

GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ALL SEASON
GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 GS-D3
GOODYEAR EAGLE GT

Falken 452 are on sale at 1010tire.com/VOLCO tires. They also ship to victoria. If you want all season look into Perelli M&S Plus there about 230 a tire and they are amazing. Hope this helps DDonovan

Stock.., can't find them anymore. What replaced the Portenza Bridgestones that come stock? I would take those as they are pretty sticky but wear fast.

The stocks are Bridgestone Potenza RE010r's. I am trying to find that exact tire as the fronts still look like new. If I can't find those I think that the replacement is the RE050, is that correct?

I want to keep the fronts as they look like new, just replace the rears and want something comparable to stock (as I hear they are very good tires).

These ( http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...per+Sport+A%2FS ) are what I have. They are a compromise, but do a good overall job. $800 for the set of 4 mounted/balanced/warranty at Costco a year ago.

Good wet/dry traction, not bad in light snow, but horrible on ice. A bit noisy, but not too bad. The sweet engine sound covers it at speed.

if you want to match the fronts then look for the tire that superseeds it. or a bridgstone with the same speed rating or better.

My (I'm assuming they are still stock) fronts are Bridgstone RE050's.

I bought some BFG G-Force Sports (not the all seasons) from Costo. I'm happy with them (performance for price > everything's a trade off).

If it snows however, you're SOL with out winter tires.

My 2 cents.
